BOOKS
Always reading!  Some acting favorites:

Queen's University
I have a BA degree in CISC (Computer and Information Science) from Queen's University at Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Yep! I put some of my knowledge to work and designed and wrote my own web site, all in HTML, using Notepad, Corel Draw, Photoshop, Premiere, Studio, Flash, Front Page and various other applications.

Cold Reading, Co-Star Workout, Improvisation
I've attended various CD workshops and I've been taken various classes including: Joe Jeffrey (Cold Reading), Kimberly Crandall (Co-Star Workout), Steve Abbott (Commercial Improvisation).

Universal Studio Hollywood Seminars:
While a Tour Guide at Universal Studios Hollywood, I had the fortune of being invited to attend various seminars, including: Sandi Logan, Julie Hutchinson, Jeff Meshel.

Bob Fraser
If you ever felt that your career needed direction, or if you just wanted words of encouragement, 'go check Bob Fraser's Web Site. He was the most selfless and experienced Teacher/Actor/Writer/Director in Los Angeles. He did it all! His advice and words of wisdom, will stay with me forever.

Advanced Acting Workshop
With Lyle B. Hill at Weist-Barron-Hill in Burbank. A three hour long workshop, very few students and lots of personalized attention! Scenes are videotaped. We all get to be on camera at least twice. Lyle brings over 40 years experience to his teachings and with Dr. Andrea Hill, they've been offering the most effective workshops in the country since 1958.

The Excellent Film Class
With Ed Hooks in San Francisco. Ed is a no-nonsense, straight to the point teacher. He gives honest advice combined with personal anecdotes and insights of the business.

Voice Overs and Scene Study
At Voice One in San Francisco, I took the Scene Study class and many voice over courses. The Scene Study class was with Terry McGovern. Terry is undoubtedly the BEST drama teacher I've ever had. He cares for his students deeply and provides an intimate, friendly non-threatening class environment with PLENTY of challenges. I owe a lot to Terry; for one, he's helped me become proud of being an actor.

The Voice over classes (Commericals, Narrations) and Ear Prompting training were with Elaine Clark, Bob Wood, John Pirruccello, and Shanón Orrock. Without exception, Elaine and her team give the most thorough, intensive and concise training, with very personalized attention. She teaches you all you need to know about voice overs and the business, doing the work in her class truly prepares you professionally.

Audition Techniques
With Nancy Hayes and Shirley Davalos at Nancy Hayes Casting in San Francisco. A personalized class that besides giving you auditioning advice, it answers all your questions about being an actor in the Bay Area.

On Camera Techniques
With Sears & Switzer, at the Institute of Film & Television in Ottawa Canada. They are based in Toronto. I took this quote from their site: "Sears & Switzer is perhaps the best known conservatory acting studio in Toronto, based on the work of Theresa Sears and David Switzer". I'd like to think I pick good schools!

Probably the BEST On-Camera training class I've taken, you watch yourself and the other actor's work through a TV set at all times! Everything is done through demonstration, little talk, quick pace. Theresa and David showed me that acting was definitely not about the 'words', it was truly amzing to see a scene change right before your eyes just by applying an 'action'. I like this other qoute from their site too: "We work with some of the best, busiest and most interesting professional actors in Canada".

Film Acting
At the Actors Centre at 1A Tower Street, London, England WC2H 9NP. Some of my instructors were Sabra Williams, Bettany Huges, Misha Williams, Maggie Ollernshaw, Barbara Thorn and Nina Finburgh.

Meisner Technique - Scene Study
With Calvin Green, at the Little Workshop in Toronto, Canada. A great class, a nice close-knit group of people. Here I met my BESTEST friend Writer/Actor/Director Christina Tsialtas.

Theatre
At Theatre 5 with Valerie Robertson in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Here is where it all started! On the advice of my 'significant other' who noticed I 'craved' attention, he suggested I enroll in the local drama company. Valerie made me realize that 'acting' was my calling, and got me started on this unpredictable, sometimes frustrating, totally addictive and always rewarding profession!

Voice Training
Private singing training with Barbara-Dunn Prosser in Kingston, Ontario Canada and Dana Minton in London England.

Jazz Dance
With Ricky Beaulieu in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
